Chrysoprase

  • Etymology : The word chrysoprase comes from the Greek "χρυσός", chrysos = golden, which describes the brilliance, and "πράσον", prason = leek, which describes the color.

Chrysoprase is a variety of nickel-plated limestone. (Quartz family).

Chrysoprase is highly appreciated in jewellery thanks to its hardness and its panel of shimmering and soft green.
